1. Scheme for Scholarships to young artistes in different cultural fields

This scholarship is meant for outstanding artistes in the field of Indian classical dance, classical music, visual arts, theatre, folk, traditional and indigenous arts. The artistes will get advanced training in their respective fields and additional benefits under this scholarship. The candidates are required to have a degree of proficiency in their chosen field of art and have undergone at least 5 years of training with their institutes/gurus.
 

Age Group: 18 to 25 years

Eligibility: Young artistes between 18 and 25 years of age
Awards: Rs. 5,000 per month
Duration: 2 years

2. Cultural talent search scholarship scheme

This scholarship aims to provide specialized training to talented children in various cultural fields with special focus on rare art forms which are on the verge of extinction. Student must be studying at a recognized school or belong to families who practice traditional performing arts.

Age Group: 10 to 14 years
Provider detail: Centre for Cultural Resource and Training (CCRT)
Awards: Rs 3,600 per annum and reimbursement of up to Rs 9,000
Application timeline: Between December and January (tentative)
Application mode: Offline by post to CCRT

3. Lalit Kala Akademi Scholarship

The Lalit Kala Akademi awards scholarship to young and budding artists every year. The objective of this scholarship scheme is to provide these young people a work space where their skills can be improved and they can develop innovative ideas in their respective field of visual arts.

Age Group: 21 – 35 years

Time line: February to  March (Tentative)
Durration: 1 year
Award: Rs. 10,000 per month
